Lifelong Domicile

Sometimes when I see a news article that I don't want to forget, I make it into a collage and use it as a postcard. This is one of those: Lifelong Domicile. It shows the photo of a structure built by a glass-making sponge, deep in the ocean waters.

The sponge builds this glass house, with thousands of tiny rooms.
Shrimp larva move into the house and as they develop, devour each other until only two are left. These two, the article reports, now rest secure in their lifelong domicile.

It would seem that New York real estate is simply reflecting nature.
